Our Wines

  • Pinot Gris
    Tasting Notes:

A dry, crisp Pinot Gris. Bright aromas of Meyer lemon and pear are followed by mouthwatering flavors of apricot and nectarine. Smooth and refreshing, the zippy acidity and rich minerality carry through to a lively, lingering finish.

    Region:

    Washington & Oregon

    Vintage:

    2021

    Winemaking:

All grapes used in this blend were harvested at night during the coolest part of the day when the skins are at their most firm. The grapes were then gently pressed early in the morning. The resulting juice was taken to tank, settled until clear, and transferred off the solids into separate tank to begin a long, cool fermentation. After fermentation, the wine rested on its lees in 100% stainless. After six months, the wine was blended and bottled.

  • Rosé
    Tasting Notes:

Bright, vibrant rosé with aromas of watermelon and raspberry followed by a hint of fresh lavender. Flavors o f strawberry and pink grapefruit are well balanced by a lively, refreshing acidity that lingers on the finish.

    Region:

    Columbia Valley, Washington

    Vintage:

    2021

    Winemaking:

Grapes were picked for our rosé when sugars were still quite low (approximately 21 Brix ). The berries were gently crushed and allowed to rest on the skins for several hours. After just enough contact to capture a bright salmon color, we pressed them off the skins. The juice was then fermented slowly at very cool temperatures to protect the delicate aromas.

Bright aromas of ripe strawberry and raspberry open up on the nose along with a hint of cedar. Region:

    Oregon

    Vintage:

    2021

    Winemaking:

We hand selected lots from several sources throughout Oregon’s cooler wine growing regions including 5% from the historic Hyland Vineyard in McMinnville, and 3% from Dundee Hills. After crush, we cold-fermented in open-top vats using hand punch downs and then aged for 10 months in 20% new French oak.

  • Hyland Vineyard Pinot Noir
    Tasting Notes:

Aromas of ripe Italian plums perfumed by notes of violets, ripe red cherries, and a subtle hint of soft leather, backed by velvety tannins and a touch of minerality.

    Region:

    McMinnville, Willamette Valley, Oregon

    Vintage:

    2021

    Winemaking:

Just north of the Van Duzer Corridor, nestled in the foothills of Oregon's Coast Range, the gentle slopping bench of Hyland Vineyard is in a uniquely isolated spot. This cool microclimate results in a long and moderate growing season, allowing for an extended and more uniform ripening period. Hyland's biodynamically farmed vineyard focuses on its biodiversity and volcanic Jory soil, farming each of the founding blocks by getting out of the way and letting each block become the wine it wants to be.

12 months 50% Neutral French, 50% New French. With each clone aged separately before final blending.

  • Big Believer Cabernet
    Tasting Notes:

This bold Cabernet begins with aromas of blackberry, vanilla and coffee, followed by layered flavors of black cherry, dark plum and sweet spices. Structured by fine, firm tannins and well-integrated acidity, we love to pair this food friendly wine with grilled beef or portabella mushroom dishes.

    Region:

    Wahluke Slope, Columbia Valley, Washington

    Vintage:

    2019

    Winemaking:

Fifteen months in a combination of 20% new and 80% used French oak barrels. The 2019 vintage in the Columbia Valley was shaped by cooler than usual weather, beginning with a moderate spring that led to a later bud break than past years. Temperatures throughout the summer remained temperate and mild. This allowed the gripes to ripen slowly and develop great concentration of flavor, while maintaining bright, balanced acidity.
