  • Chardonnay
    Tasting Notes:

    Fragrant aromas of apples and pears with a hint of pretty toasted oak. Rich and round flavors of stone fruits on the forepalate followed by orange, meyer lemon, and a touch of pineapple. This is a lush and layered wine with enough acidity to pair with the richest of foods, yet yummy enough to sip on its own.

    Winemaking:

    2016 fruit sourcing comes from a number of great California vineyards. A combination of stainless steel, new, and neutral oak barrels were used while employing a number of traditional techniques. A percentage of this wine to underwent secondary fermentation as well as sur-lies aging to add a creamy, sweet texture to this wine.

  • Pinot Noir
    Tasting Notes:

    Scarlet red in color, this is an incredibly balanced wine. Earthy aromas of briar and bramble lead to lush flavors of baked cherry and cranberry fruit on the palate.

    Winemaking:

    2017 marked the end of California’s multi-year drought. A wet winter replenished soils and ground water aquifers leading to a strong year for vines throughout the state. Harvest began early, and then slowed during a cooling in mid-September, allowing Pinot grapes to ripen gradually. Providing the desired acid / sugar balance to make great wine.

    15% of this wine saw New French Oak.

  • Cabernet
    Tasting Notes:

    Aromas of black cherry, baker’s chocolate, and cigar box on the nose. Raspberry and blueberry pie filling flavors are predominant up front. Dark and red fruits form in the midpalate with decent acidity to maintain the fruit bowl at the finish. This wine hangs for quite a while and finishes with soft and lush tannins that add hints of sweetness to the wine.

    Winemaking:

    This Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of 45% Paso Robles, 38% Monterey County, and 17% Mendocino County fruit.

    Winemaking added a small amount of Merlot and Petit Verdot for extra layers and complexity. The blend was matured for 20 months in 15% New American, the balance in French and American neutrals.

  • Crimson
    Tasting Notes:

    Blueberry aromatics jump out of the glass — notes of black cherry, rhubarb, anise and chocolate abound. Flavors are dark and brooding with blueberry pie and chokeberry jam being predominate features. The tannins are particularly lush and melting with seamless consistency throughout. A solid thread of acidity guarantees a lengthy finish.

    The 2017 Crimson blend is comprised of 52% Petite Sirah, 32% Zinfandel, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot. 22% of the wine sees New American Oak.
